Products International Reports 161% Increase in July Revenues
Hoodia Products International Inc. the California-based manufacturer of
appetite suppression products made from the Hoodia gordonii plant, today
announced revenue for the month ended July 2006.
The company is pleased to record July revenue of $17,934, which represents
a 161% gain over June sales of $6,865. Incidentally, July revenue exceeds
the entire aggregate revenue of Q2-06, April-June, which was $17,388.
Revenue growth was primarily attributed to the continued HPI marketing
efforts and significant quantities of new POWERSLIM customers as a result
of our recent infomercial campaigns. The company tracks orders received
from call-in telephone banks and the www.hoodiaproducts.com Web site. For
the month ended July 2006, call-in orders, mostly representative of our
infomercial campaigns and continuity customers, increased 754%, while orders
on the company Web site rose 5%. The discrepancy between call-in and Web
order reflects the recent strength in the POWERSLIM infomercials, where
the company is seeing strong sales retention rates. The company continues
to work with its advisors and media partners to identify appropriate media
opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Jacob V.O. Mullins, CEO of HPI, stated, "In our June revenue release,
we expected to see July call-in sales number return to positive growth,
and we're happy we were able to deliver on that statement. We believe in
our products, and more and more of our customers are opting to join our
continuity (auto-delivery) program. We've always adhered to a philosophy
that you've got to walk before you can run -- and we can conceivably now
set our sights on working to achieve sales in excess of $100,000 by year
end 2006.
